As a graduate of SJS, I can also vouch for the holistic benefits a private school offers. Some of my strongest friendships are with the same people I've known since I can remember. This could be caused by the extended time shared together, but as we know- people grow apart. The real reason I'm still in strong contact with so many is because we all share the same morals, values, respect, and standard for acceptable character.
